Hawzah News Agency- Sheikh Zakzaky made the remarks on Thursday during the closing ceremony of the third edition of the Fulani Youth Conference, held at his residence in Abuja.
Addressing the gathering, the senior cleric said that fueling conflict and division among people is one of the methods used by enemies to divert public attention and pave the way for the looting of the nation's resources and wealth.
He cautioned against claims aimed at driving a wedge between people and promoting the notion that "so-and-so is not your brother," stressing the need for awareness in the face of any attempt to sow discord.
Sheikh Zakzaky said Western powers employ such tactics to create conflict and division in Nigeria, while plundering the country's resources through corrupt politicians who serve their interests.
He urged the people to recognize these conspiracies, awaken to the reality of oppression and strive for liberation from the domination and tyranny of oppressors.
"If the people stand firm, divine assistance will come from God Almighty," Sheikh Zakzaky said.
The IMN leader concluded by calling on participants to uphold moral values such as compassion, forgiveness, charity, modesty and the strengthening of family ties, while emphasizing the necessity of adherence to religion.
